The Team is assembled..

Phew.....! I think I need a holiday. The planning and preparation is done. We can now start to relax and have fun. The last week has been quite frantic with last minute preparations not least of which was a text from Paul last night to say the Land Rover rear suspension had failed. Thankfully this morning a nice man in Surbiton took pity on Paul who was parked on his forecourt at dawn with a pained expression. His sorrowful tale of a Charity bike ride to Rome on the verge of collapse was enough to stir them into action and by late afternoon the Landy was back being packed with gear. It wouldn't be right if there wasn't some sort of Land Rover mechanical so lets hope that was it.

Did I just say Charity Bike ride? Yes I did. Alex and Nick are hoping to raise some money for the Calabash Trust which is Trust that develops schools in South Africa for disadvantaged children of the townships. This is something these young boys fresh from their A levels have decided to do so it would be great if we can help them achieve their target.

Click here to donate to their cause.

It was a stressful week for them with A level results out but we are all happy to report there were a lot of happy faces, A grades and university acceptances happening yesterday. Well done boys, I will buy you an ice cream in Italy. ;-)
